Nate's Letter Home - April 1, 2019

arroz - 1 abril 2019

Well I´m not sure if I have much to say to be honest.

I guess the biggest news is that as a mission, we baptized 228 people in March. A long time ago, President promised us that once we baptized over 200 people in a month, we would have a huge party, and so that´s what we´re doing tomorrow. We have to leave today in the afternoon to travel to Ramos Mejía and we´re going to stay the night there so we can party tomorrow.

Probably the best part of the week was that Malvina passed her baptism interview on saturday. So she will most likely be baptized this saturday, in between sessions of Conference. The only thing is that she´s a little bit nervous about the fact that she´s the only one in her family that is going to church, and so it will probably be hard to keep all the commandments if her husband isn´t supporting her. But I´m pretty sure we´re going to be able to convince her that she can do it. She lives like 2 blocks from the branch president, so that should help her.

We found a ton of cool people this week, and we had a lot of people committed to come to church. But despite our best efforts, nobody came to church yesterday... :(  (When I say nobody, I´m talking about investigators, luckily there were members there).

Oh yeah, I gave my talk yesterday, and I played the piano. My talk was about faith. It somehow ended up being almost 20 minutes long. I never would have thought I could talk for that long.

Well that´s about it. Have a great week! Enjoy Conference!
Will you be going to El Sol after priesthood session?
