Well a true unexpected miracle happened this week. We got a phone call from the elder who´s in charge of all the apartments in the mission, and he asked us if we had a washing machine. I said no. Then he was like, alright, we´re going to give you one. I was so surprised, I didn`t even know what to say. So saturday morning, un hermano came and installed a brand new washing machine in our apartment. We are all super hyped. In fact I was so hyped that I did a load of laundry last night just for the heck of it, even though I hardly had any dirty clothes. When I started the load we all sat around and watched it for like 10 minutes haha. That was my first time being able to do my own laundry since the MTC. A year and a half without one makes you realize that a washing machine is a very nice thing to have.

Teaching wise, things are kinda rough right now. Well, actually, the teaching part is going pretty well since we have quite a few investigators right now. But the church attendance part is pretty rough. And by pretty rough, I mean non-existant. We had a lot of people let us down and we didn`t get anyone to church yesterday. That is our biggest problem right now so we´re trying to figure out a way to change things up.
Yesterday we had lunch with a recent convert named Tania and her family. We had tacos and they were super good. On saturday Elder Mendez and I come up clutch and found this fruit stand run by some Bolivians and they had some hot peppers. And so we made some guacamole and pico de gallo and put a little bit of the hot peppers in. I convinced my comp not to put that much because Argentines are seriously the biggest wimps ever about spicy food. So anyway, we got there and started eating, and I was like dang, we should´ve put more peppers because this isn`t spicy at all. But not even 2 minutes after we started eating I looked around and realized that the entire family was basically dying. In fact, Tania´s older sister ran to the bathroom and started rinsing out her mouth. They were all like, what did you put in this? Elder Mendez and I just laughed. It was not spicy at all haha.
Anyway, I think that´s about all I got. Have a good week y´all.
-Elder Shelton
